Why Agriculture?

Agriculture plays a vital role in revitalizing the economy and sustainability of the Philippines. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and global warming showed the importance of agriculture in aiding the country to achieve sustainability in producing food and developing better ways to utilize the limited environmental resources of the Philippines. Agriculture is also the key driver of the economy in rural areas and remains the major source of employment for Filipinos.

With this, the country needs to invest in modernizing agriculture in the Philippines to open better opportunities for Filipino farmers to be competitive in the global market and productive in yielding quality produce. This importance led the Project Heads to focus its efforts on guiding young Filipinos to participate in empowering agriculture through innovative and sustainable solutions. The organization aims to advocate the importance of agriculture to the development and sustainability of the country by removing the stigma against Farmers and inspiring young generations to use their abilities to create opportunities from farming. The Project Heads believes that through innovative and sustainable agriculture, the Philippines will reduce its dependence on imports through higher production of local crops. It will also build better lives for millions of farmers through technology integration. Innovative agriculture will also help the Philippines develop methods to utilize the country's limited natural resources effectively. Last but not least, it will help the country build a healthier community where Filipinos, especially the marginalized, do not have to starve due to the lack of access to food.
