PROBLEM STATEMENT
Over the years, agriculture is one of the labor force sources that provides employment to the country, however labor productivity in this sector is lower, slow, and weak. Farmers are often being neglected in their livelihood needs and means to continuous development of their farming endeavors, which in turn negatively affects their growing of crops and paving way to food scarcity in the country. As we know, such an issue affects almost every other discipline and sector such as businesses, politics, health, and many more. It also poses a risk to climate change and natural resource degradation, affecting the sustainable progress in the country. Another root cause to all these issues is the prevalent disengagement and lack of collaboration between farmers and government and industry agencies, hindering chances to address their issues and concerns properly and systematically.
Your challenge: Your team must come up with a project solution proposal that focuses on feasible agricultural transformation that will benefit the farmers’ livelihood, support and services, and aid sustainable development, particularly on Infrastructure, Industrialization and Innovation (UN SDG 9). Your solution may be multidisciplinary in nature and can be a prototype, business plan, or other types of project proposals.
